About me
Sometimes the hardest moments are not when life falls apart, but when the life that once made sense no longer quite fits.
I am a bilingual integrative psychotherapist offering online therapy in English and Mandarin.
I work particularly with adults experiencing difficulties around relationships, attachment, identity, belonging, life transitions, and meaning. You may be functioning well outwardly, yet find yourself caught in recurring relational patterns, feeling emotionally unsettled, or questioning who you are and what you want from your life.
My approach is relational, collaborative and integrative. I am grounded in person-centred therapy and attachment theory, while also drawing from CBT, ACT, DBT-informed, compassion-focused, somatic and experiential approaches. I do not work from a fixed formula. Depending on what feels most useful, we may use conversation and reflection, structured psychological models, behavioural experiments, imagery, grounding, body-based awareness, or other practical interventions.
For bilingual and cross-cultural clients, you are welcome to move between English and Mandarin during sessions. I also work with people navigating migration, family expectations, cultural differences and questions of belonging across different worlds.
Sessions are 50 minutes and usually take place weekly via Microsoft Teams. I offer an initial 15–20 minute consultation so that we can briefly discuss what brings you to therapy and whether working together feels right.

Training, qualifications & experience
I hold an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Derby, a BACP-accredited training programme, and I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I also hold an MSc in Psychology of Mental Health from the University of Edinburgh and am a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS).
My clinical training has included several hundred hours of supervised therapeutic work with adults across counselling, women’s services and rehabilitation settings. I have worked with a wide range of presenting concerns, including relationship difficulties, trauma, domestic abuse, grief and loss, neurodivergence, addiction and recovery, anxiety, depression, shame, identity and self-esteem.
My practice is supported by regular clinical supervision and ongoing continuing professional development. Additional training includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), domestic abuse and risk management, safeguarding, and pre-trial therapy guidance.
Alongside my clinical practice, I am undertaking doctoral research in Education at the University of Cambridge, with interests in dialogue, relational processes and psychological space.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I offer online therapy to adults in English and Mandarin via Microsoft Teams.
Sessions are 50 minutes and usually take place weekly. I offer a brief 15–20 minute initial consultation so that we can discuss what brings you to therapy, what you may be looking for, and whether working together feels appropriate.
For bilingual and cross-cultural clients, you are welcome to move between English and Mandarin during sessions. I am attentive to the ways culture, migration, family expectations, language, and belonging can shape how we experience ourselves and our relationships.
Therapy can be short-term or longer-term depending on your needs. We will review the work regularly, including around the first six sessions, so that we can reflect together on what is changing, what remains important, and whether the way we are working continues to feel useful.
