About Me:
I am a psychodynamic therapist offering counselling and psychotherapy for adults in Loughton, Buckhurst Hill, and across Essex, as well as online throughout the United Kingdom.
People often come to therapy when they feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, low in mood, or caught in repeating patterns that they cannot fully understand or shift. Others notice difficulties in relationships, persistent self-criticism, or a sense that something internal is not quite settled.
My approach is psychodynamic, which means we look beyond immediate symptoms to understand the deeper patterns shaping your thoughts, feelings, and relationships. This includes exploring how earlier experiences and unconscious processes may be influencing how you respond to situations today.
I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, stress, and relationship difficulties. I also support clients who may not have a clear “label” for what is wrong, but know that something in their emotional life feels difficult or limiting.
Therapy with me offers a consistent, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can speak freely and begin to make sense of your inner world. Over time, this process can help you develop greater self-awareness, reduce repeating patterns, and build a more stable sense of self.
Starting therapy can feel uncertain. Many people worry about what they will talk about, or whether they are doing it correctly. There is no right way to do therapy. We work at your pace, focusing on what feels most important and meaningful for you.
The aim is not quick fixes, but deeper understanding and lasting change in how you relate to yourself and others.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
