About me
Hello, and welcome to my profile.
The decision to seek counselling can be confusing and difficult to navigate; often a decision that feels unfamiliar and vulnerable. Whilst this can be a scary place to start, my priority is to ensure you feel safe enough to explore your experiences together. I aim to facilitate a space which feels comfortable, and provides some certainty in its acceptance, compassion and warmth.
What to expect from me
I am a fully qualified and registered Counsellor and Therapist for adults. I follow an integrative model of counselling, which means I will be led by you, whilst I draw on knowledge from a number of theories to ensure our work together is personalised and appropriate for the focus. Predominantly, my experience is rooted in Person-Centred theory, alongside relational theories such as Attachment and Transactional Analysis. I am also trained to offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Following 10+ years experience in Education supporting Neurodivergent students with challenges that society and system present, I believe that we are all a product of our individual experience. I value the uniqueness of each person and aim to develop understanding through your lens. I aim to create a space that is centred around your goals and experience, to support us to navigate presenting or historic difficulties that you may be facing, or have faced.
What to expect from the sessions
The relationship you have with your therapist is paramount to the journey in counselling. As a result, I offer a free 30 minute consultation for us to get a sense of whether we are compatible. This session is an opportunity for us to explore what has brought you to counselling, for you to get a 'feel' for what the sessions would be like.
There is no obligation to continue for further sessions. If you do decide to continue, sessions are typically weekly or fortnightly and I offer both open-ended or short-term sessions, depending on your goals or restrictions.
Sessions are typically face-to-face in Tamworth, though I do offer phone or online sessions where preferred. I would be happy to discuss your accessibility needs to ensure the sessions fit around you and your experience.
If you decide not to continue, I will endeavour to signpost you to alternative support, to ensure the process of seeking help is as seamless and stress-free as possible.
The process of navigating the search for the right support for you can be intimidating and overwhelming, and I am here to help you with this. If my profile and way of working resonate with you and your goals, then please feel free to reach out.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
