About me
I'm Ashton, a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist working online from Manningtree Essex. For 15 years I've worked for NHS Talking Therapies, providing evidence based treatment to individuals experiencing common mental health problems. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and working together in partnership to achieve outcomes. I specialise in providing treatment for individuals experiencing Depression, PTSD and a wide range of other anxiety disorders such as OCD, Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety and Generalised Anxiety Disorder.
I understand that therapy can be a vulnerable and challenging process, and I strive to bring a warm and compassionate, supportive and playful, consistent, structured and non-judgemental attitude to every session.
If you're looking for a therapist who can help you work through your mental health concerns using a compassionate approach, I invite you to contact me to discuss your difficulties. Together we can work towards a brighter, more fulfilling future.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have worked for the NHS providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for common mental health problems for 15 years. I completed my post graduate diploma in CBT in 2015, accredited from the BABCP since 2016.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
