Trauma & Domestic Abuse: Helping survivors move from hyper-vigilance to a sense of internal safety.
Addiction Recovery: Addressing the underlying pain and trauma that often fuels addictive cycles.
Legal System Trauma: Providing unique support for those exhausted by the psychological toll of traumatic legal proceedings, an area often overlooked in standard therapy.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

Fees and Session Information
I am committed to making therapy as accessible as possible and aim to keep my costs low to ensure that high-quality, specialist support is available to those who need it.

Individual Therapy

Standard Session (60 minutes): £65
Extended Session (90 minutes): £97.50

Please note: 90-minute sessions are charged at 1.5 times the hourly rate to reflect the additional clinical time.
Couples Counselling

Session Rate: £75 per hour
Session Duration: 90 minutes (£112.50)

For couples work, 90-minute sessions are required. This ensures that both partners have the necessary time and space to be heard and to navigate complex dynamics safely.

Accessibility & Concessions I believe that financial circumstances should not be a barrier to healing. I offer a limited number of concessional rates on request for those experiencing financial hardship. These are subject to current availability, so please do ask if you feel this applies to your situation.

Section: Why I Recommend 90-Minute Sessions
For Somatic Journeying and Couples Counselling, I often recommend (and for couples, require) 90-minute sessions.

Because Somatic work involves checking in with the nervous system and allowing the body time to process stored trauma, a standard hour can sometimes feel rushed. A 90-minute session provides the "buffer" needed to go deep into the work while leaving plenty of time to ground ourselves before the session ends, ensuring you leave feeling regulated and safe.

Further information

Somatic Journeying is a collaborative process where we move beyond just talking about the problem. We begin to listen to the language of your body. Traditional "talk therapy" is a powerful tool, but often, our most difficult experiences, trauma, chronic stress, or the exhaustion of legal battles, become trapped in the body’s nervous system.

In our sessions, we work at a pace that feels safe for you to:

Regulate the Nervous System: Learn to move out of "fight, flight, or freeze" responses.
Release Stored Tension: Gently process the physical bracing that often follows domestic abuse or prolonged legal trauma.
Build Resilience: Create a "toolkit" of internal resources so you feel more grounded.
Reconnect: Shift from feeling "numb" or disconnected to feeling truly present in your body and your relationships.
This approach is particularly effective if you feel that traditional therapy has "hit a wall," or if you struggle with the physical "weight" of addiction recovery. By honouring the body’s wisdom, we create space for a deeper, more enduring type of wellbeing.
