MBACP, Integrative Counsellor | SST | Rewind | Parts Work

About me

“Sometimes we keep going, even when part of us is quietly breaking.”

Hello, I’m Anna Ozbey (MBACP) – a qualified integrative counsellor offering therapy in both English and Polish. I provide a warm, empathic space where you can speak freely and feel truly heard, whether you’re navigating loss, anxiety, trauma, or feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands.

My practice is grounded in the person-centred tradition and shaped by further training in grief, trauma, and parts work. I believe we all carry different parts of ourselves - like the inner critic, the people-pleaser, or the exhausted overachiever - and that with compassion and curiosity, we can begin to understand and untangle them.

I work with adults and offer:

Ongoing counselling (short- or long-term)
Rewind Therapy – for trauma, phobias, or intrusive memories (typically 1–3 sessions per event; known as “closure without disclosure” as it doesn’t require retelling your experience)
Single-Session Therapy (SST) – focused, one-off support for a specific issue
Sessions are available in-person in Wakefield and online across the UK and beyond. I welcome clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and bring particular insight to those navigating life in a second language or between cultures.

If you're unsure whether therapy is right for you, or which approach might help, you're very welcome to get in touch for a brief 15-minute initial chat.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

As someone originally from Poland, I understand how language, identity, and cultural background can shape the way we relate to others and experience emotions. I offer therapy in both Polish and English, and I welcome Polish-speaking clients living in the UK or abroad.

In my work, I draw on parts-based approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Voice Dialogue, and Structural Dissociation. These methods can support you in exploring your inner world – including protective parts like the inner critic or people-pleaser – with curiosity and compassion. I may also incorporate useful concepts from Transactional Analysis (TA), such as recognising patterns in communication and relationships.

Whether you’re looking for longer-term support or a one-off session to find clarity or relief, I will meet you with care, respect, and honesty.
