About me
I work with people who feel out of sync with those around them. Many of my clients are neurodivergent, expats, or members of the LGBT+ community.
I am an intgrative counsellor, coach and schema therapist. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I often work with people who feel a little out of step with those around them. Many of my clients are neurodivergent, expats, or members of the LGBT+ community. I try to meet each person where they are, offering as much support and structure as feels helpful, and adjusting as the work unfolds. For me, therapy is a collaborative process, not a one-way instruction.
I take a respectful, non-pathologising approach, seeing symptoms as meaningful responses that once served a protective purpose. Rather than trying to fix or remove them, I aim to explore what they are protecting and what might help now. I believe change comes through a mix of thinking, feeling, doing, and experiencing, and that it takes time and a sense of safety in the relationship.
I value equality in the work and place importance on your autonomy. I don’t see myself as the authority on your life or offer quick fixes. Instead, I provide a space to reflect, understand, and find ways forward at a pace that feels right for you.
I have over 1,800 hours of training in counselling and coaching, with ongoing professional development, and I receive regular supervision from three supervisors. I have seven years of personal psychotherapy and am a member of the International Society of Schema Therapy. My training includes schema therapy and psychodynamic therapy, and I am currently completing a qualification in integrative counselling and coaching.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
Before booking a first session, I offer a free 30-minute online consultation so that we can both consider whether I might be the right counsellor and/or coach for you. We can briefly discuss what is bringing you to counselling and coaching and what you hope to get from our work. You will also have an opportunity to ask any questions that may help you decide whether you would like to work with me.

A Collaborative Process
I see counselling and coaching as a collaborative process. I bring my professional knowledge and experience, while you bring your knowledge of yourself, your history and your life. I may offer hypotheses, suggest connections or propose ways of working, but I welcome your feedback, questions and disagreement. Together, we will decide what we are working towards and how we might approach it.
Your Active Role
Counselling and coaching usually work best when you take an active role in noticing your patterns and experimenting with change, both within and outside our sessions. As our work develops, we will establish clearer goals and periodically review whether our work is helping you move towards them.
About Me
My background in Maths and Physics, along with 11 years of experience in IT, shapes the way I think systemically about patterns and relationships. Having lived as an expat twice, I also understand the challenges of navigating different cultural contexts. Outside of work, I am a wife and mum of two.
