About me
MA Relationship Therapy, MSc Contemporary Psychosexual Therapy, Diploma in Clinical Supervision.
Online and telephone appointments are available. With over 10 years of experience working with couples, individuals and families, I know how difficult relationships can be. If you are looking for support in this area, please contact me for a short consultation to see if I have the skills that would best support you.
My qualifications allow me to work with individuals, couples and families. Together we can create a space that is safe to explore and understand the troubling aspects of your relationships to facilitate change. Most difficulties and distresses can be seen through the lens of relationships. Relationships lost, those in the present and the ones hoped for. My relationship lens includes the relationship we have with family, friends, jobs and any other aspect of your life.
Training as a relationship therapist brought together the concepts of the systemic and psychodynamic. The systemic approach considers your unique context and lived experience so I will try, as best as I can, to see your difficulties from your frame of reference. Change comes from working out if you want and need that frame of reference to be different. The psychodynamic approach has us consider key people in your life and their influence on how you feel and respond in certain circumstances. Change comes about from recognizing and acknowledging their role and working out how much they will continue to influence your future. Psychosexual therapy has in addition, elements of CBT linking thoughts and feelings to behaviours that impact personal and relational sexual difficulties.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
