About me
I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor and an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. I trained in person-centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy/Relational Emotive Behavioural Therapy. I am qualified to undertake telephone and online counselling.
My counselling approach is integrative. I work with young people and adults and with people from diverse/multicultural backgrounds and from all diverse groups - with / without complex needs.
I counsel in a range of issues- including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem loss and bereavement, issues relating to domestic violence, matrimonial difficulties separation and divorce; issues relating to abuse in childhood and substance abuse.
As well as my private practice I provide a counselling service as a volunteer in my local community.
I have a state registered nursing qualification which included mental health nursing. I have a legal qualification.
I am currently completing the Level 6 Advance Certificate in Clinical Supervision.
I offer face-to-face counselling, remote/online and telephone
I also offer supervision.

Experience:
Since 2017, I have provided counselling services on a voluntary basis in two local communities - working with people with complex needs from diverse cultural backgrounds. I have also worked with clients from overseas remotely until recently.
I have a small private counselling practice, andI have extensive experience with child/family and mental health issues in my legal work. I have also cared for the mentally ill in nursing and following qualification in mental health organisations.

As I am a trainee supervisor, I offer the first 4 sessions free for supervisees and thereafter £35 per one hour session.
