It takes immense courage to admit you are struggling, and even more to ask for help. If you are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, or the weight of the past, I want you to know, you do not have to carry it alone.
My name is Angus. I am a BACP registered Person-Centred Therapist providing support in Skipton and Keighley, but I am also a human being who understands that life rarely goes to plan.
I know what it feels like when life gets messy and unpredictable. Because of this, I don't sit in judgement and I don't look down on your pain. Instead, I offer a genuine, "real" relationship where you can bring your authentic self, flaws, fears, and all and be met with understanding.
I offer support to those dealing with:
- A sense of being fundamentally misunderstood
- The impact of trauma and childhood trauma
- Living under constant self-doubt
- Shame about who they are
- Emotional exhaustion from holding it together
- A sense of disconnection from themselves
- Fear of being too much or not enough
- Unresolved pain from past relationships

- Anger that feels unacceptable
- A longing to be accepted as they are
I believe therapy works best when it is a collaboration. I won't just nod silently, I will work actively alongside you to:
- Untangle the knots of anxiety and depression.
- Process difficult memories in a safe, paced way.
- Reclaim your sense of self and direction
My Experience
With over 8 years of experience in the charitable sector, specifically within disability and community services, I have worked with people from every walk of life. I am experienced in holding space for deep trauma, neurodivergence, relationship breakdowns, and severe anxiety. My background ensures that our space is robust enough to handle whatever you need to bring.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
