Helping people who feel stressed out, have self-doubt or self-sabotage their best intentions to bounce back with confidence, enjoy greater life satisfaction and feel more at ease within themselves.

We all want to do well in life, to thrive!
Thriving means something different to each of us, whether it’s doing well personally, gaining achievements or status. However, we are not truly thriving if doing well comes at the cost of burnt-out, no time to nuture meaningful relationships, poor health and can’t find peace of mind.

Thriving is about finding balance.
Balancing achievement and progress with restoration and self-kindness. Together they bring a greater sense of wholeness, increased vitality and transform your life satisfaction.

When stress builds up or is prolonged it can become overwhelming and our ability to cope declines impacting on self-esteem and confidence.

Stress is the body’s reaction to feeling threatened or under pressure caused by relationship conflict, chronic illness, life transitions, our environment, pushing ourselves too hard and life dissatisfaction.

Low Self-Esteem and Confidence.
Even the most confident of us can be knocked off course by the unexpected events of life - a loss of a job, relationship, or a serious health issue can rob of us our natural confidence, leaving us in an unfamiliar situation and life seeming greyer.

What is self-esteem?
Self-esteem is how a person views themselves overall - feeling happy with who they are, have a positive appraisal of their qualities, self-kindness and respect, a good sense of self-worth and value.

What is confidence?
Confidence is the self-belief in your abilities, knowledge and skills to make things happen in the world - having faith in an optimistic outcome, comfortable with uncertainty, have self-assurance and reliance, stand firm against the doubters.

People can be confidant all the time or it can come and go depending on the situation. It is a lot easier to be confidant if you have healthy self-esteem, almost like a strong foundation stone to build your house on, without it the house can crumble under the slightest pressure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Hypnotherapy (guided visualisations)

I use hypnotherapy alongside my counselling to support clients in reducing the impact of stress on their lives and help build self-esteem and confidence.

Hypnotherapy is a gentle, relaxing technique for both mind and body. It accesses your subconscious mind whilst in a deeply relaxed state, similar to just before falling asleep, where all your automatic behaviours take place. It uses the power of positive suggestion to bring about change to your thoughts, feelings and behaviour.

Hypnotherapy works best if you are ready and willing to let the positive change happen in your life and embrace new ways of being.

One to One Counselling for individuals over 16 years old.

Counselling Sessions are £45 for 50 minutes.

Most clients need just 4 - 12 sessions to feel better about themselves.

Hypnotherapy Session are £55 for 55 minutes in person.

Most clients need just 2 - 6 sessions; depending the circumstances and the reason for which you are seeking hypnotherapy.

My Practice

You will find Equilibrium, where I have rooms, near Burton-on-Trent railway station on the main road leading into Burton-on-Trent town center. There is a receptionist to welcome you and a comfortable waiting room if you arrive early. This is a discreet service and no-one else will no why you are there.

Equilibrium is 1 minutes walk from the train station and 5 minutes walk from town. There is ample free on-street parking on Mosley Street, Milton Street and Cross Street next to the center. Public pay and display car parks are available at the Railway Station, Sainsbury's Supermarket or Cooper's Square Shopping Centre.
