How I will help you:

I draw from a range of therapeutic theories and approaches proven to help with specific problems and your individual needs, including; Psychotherapeutic Counselling, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Clinical Hypnotherapy.

It can take several sessions before you start to see progress. However, progress can often be swift and effective, usually in just 4-8 sessions. Even after your first or second session, you can feel lighter as if a burden has finally been lifted.

Sessions are flexible and fit in with you. Initially, clients come every week or two weeks and as they gradually feel better, they extend the time between sessions. I have many clients who have monthly check-ins for a while for continued support to help them maintain progress and talk through what is going on in their lives.

  • In-person at my comfortable and quiet consulting room.
  • Online through Zoom video chat (my clients have found online flexible, time-saving, and equally as positive and effective).

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor, author and creative coach best known for my calm, uplifting and solution-focused approach. I draw on my past experience in therapeutic arts, training, and coaching, to assist in my counselling practice.

I have always been interested in human nature and curious about how the mind works, asking questions such as: What motivates us? What stops us from achieving what we really want to achieve? How do we go about doing things differently to get better results? 

Now it has led to a career in which I feel privileged in helping people overcome adversity to improve their happiness and wellbeing.

I am an author of Mindfulness for Peace of Mind and co-author of Inside Creativity Coaching (Routledge), Unleashing the Artist Within (Dover Press Inc.) and Naked Money: 29 Artists and Creatives Share the Truth About Art and Money by Eli Trier.

I now live and work in Burton-on-Trent and have a long association with the area. Presently I am writing and illustrating a book on ‘Back to Confidence’ to be released later this year.

Hypnotherapy sessions are £65.00/session
Hypnotherapy for IBS - Gut Directive Protocol is £325.00 for the 3 month program.
