About me

Specialising in Stress mangement and increasing Inner Confidence.

When stress builds up or is prolonged, it becomes overwhelming, reducing your ability to cope with day to day life and impacting on self-esteem and confidence - your view of yourself and self-belief in your capabilities to handle events and situations.

Stress is the body’s reaction to feeling threatened or under pressure and, if not addressed, creates wear and tear on the body, mood and mind. As a result, your health, relationships, work and peace of mind may suffer.

Some symptoms of stress:

Body - Headaches, muscular tension, tiredness, IBS
Mind - Worry, can’t concentrate, indecision, negativity

Mood - Loss of confidence, irritability, anxious, overwhelmed

Behaviours - Accident prone, over/under-eating, restlessness, sleeplessness

Causes of stress can be:
- Conflict or Toxic relationships
- Chronic illness or injury
- Life transitions
- The environment you live/work in
- Pushing yourselves too hard
- Life dissatisfaction.

My clients say they have broken-free from the hold stress has had on their life. They have found more healthy ways to deal with stress and improve their wellbeing and energy. As a result, they now have a better balance between work, relationships, relaxation and fun. Have trust in their judgement and abilities, feeling great about themselves as a result.

I help  my clients by integrating the most effective helping techniques proven to improve specific problems, including counselling skills, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy and hypnotherapy. This multi-modality approach brings unity between the different aspects of our being - mind, body, emotions and behaviours.

At the end of our time working together, you will feel very different, and you'll go away with a whole toolkit of skills and insights that you'll know how to use at any moment to stress-less and have confidence in any situation.

As soon as you book an appointment, we can get started.

Further information

Hypnotherapy (guided visualisations)

I use hypnotherapy as part of my counselling to support clients in reducing the impact of stress on their lives and help build self-esteem and confidence.

Hypnotherapy is a gentle, relaxing technique for both mind and body. It accesses your subconscious mind whilst in a deeply relaxed state, similar to just before falling asleep, where all your automatic behaviours take place. It uses the power of positive suggestion to bring about change to your thoughts, feelings and behaviour.

Hypnotherapy works best if you are ready and willing to let the positive change happen in your life and embrace new ways of being.

“I wasn’t realty sure what counselling was about but it has been really useful to talk in-depth about our relationship with a third party.” — Counselling client

“Angela really got me, she really understood me and where I was coming from. It helped a lot to talk about things and put everything in perspective.” — Counselling client

“Thank you for caring so much about our relationship.” — Counselling Client

“If it wasn’t for you I would have had a melt down by now. I don’t think I would have coped otherwise. Thank you for helping me get through it and being there for me.” — Counselling client

“I don’t think I could have managed without your support. I now understand what’s going on in my life and what’s causing me so much so stress. It’s made such a big difference becoming more aware and I’ve started to make small changes so that I can manage things better.” — Counselling client

“I was scared of making a wrong decision and talking to you helped me to think about things more calmly. I wouldn’t have coped as well as I did without your support. Thank you.” — Counselling client

“Since coming to see you I have become more calm and relaxed. My husband has even noticed! I’m starting to recognise when my thoughts become negative and I can now replace them with more helpful ones.” — Counselling client

“My partner asks what I talk about in these sessions but I don’t want them to know about it yet. It’s something just for me. I’ve never talked to anyone else in this depth before and it’s really helping. I’m back with my partner now and we’re working through things together.” — Counselling client
