About me

Leave anxiety, depression, low self-esteem/confidence, stress, and more behind. With guidance, begin to overcome difficulties, find new perspectives, improve self-belief and worth, and start to feel better about yourself, your life and relationships.

There’s no doubt that life can be challenging, especially when things happen out of your control or life isn't living up to your expectations.

It’s normal to want to reach out for extra support and objective help where you can go from just surviving to thriving.

Let's boost your self-esteem and confidence, find happiness in your life, strengthen your relationships and take the first steps towards a brighter future.

Do you find yourself…

  • Self-critical and put yourself down
  • Hold onto outdated beliefs about yourself that keep you struck
  • Opportunities missed
  • Daunted and overwhelmed by life challenges
  • Frequently experience self-doubt, worry, and anxiety
  • A negative outlook on life
  • Feel not good enough, a failure, or an imposter
  • Take on too much and feel exhausted and burnt out
  • Stay in unsatisfactory or toxic relationships
  • Difficulty setting boundaries and saying no to people
  • No faith in your ideas or opinions

I understand the toll that life’s worries, disappointments, and challenges can take on your self-worth and belief that you can make things happen in the world. It’s all too common for hardships to wear you down, dampen your spirits, and for life to feel greyer, duller.

It can all rob you of your natural self-assurance, leaving you in an unfamiliar situation - one where you no longer feel certain of your abilities and get the outcome you want.

I’ve been helping people feel better about themselves for about 20 years and have worked with many people who tell me that something has knocked them off course and they want to get back on track.

By building a stronger sense of self-worth and cultivating unwavering confidence in yourself, you can overcome setbacks and say yes to opportunities, focus on what you want more of, and make life a whole lot easier.

As an experienced therapist, I believe that each person has the capacity to break free from what is keeping them stuck and rediscover their inner strength and resilience that may be overshadowed by the weight of life’s burdens.

We will delve into various aspects of your life, including exploring your personal goals and inner dialogue, examining your habits, and assessing relationships that may be a source of drain on your enthusiasm and happiness.

Together, we can work towards discovering answers, tailored solutions, and proven strategies that empower you to navigate through challenges, restore balance, and ultimately thrive in all aspects of your life.

Along the way, we will pinpoint and address those outdated limiting beliefs and stories you tell yourself. By examining and challenging these disempowering thought patterns, we will actively combat pessimism and say goodbye to the inner critic's constant doom-mongering that has held you back and hindered your progress.

You will begin to let go of those short-term quick fixes that may provide temporary relief but ultimately lead you nowhere. Instead, adopt sustainable and beneficial patterns of behaviour that will pave the way for long-term growth and wellbeing

With this newfound clarity, you will discover a more determined and resourceful version of yourself that leads to enhanced relationships, and elevated performances, and brings a fulfilling sense of inner calm that enriches every aspect of your life.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor, author and creative coach best known for my calm, uplifting and solution-focused approach. I draw on my past experience in therapeutic arts, training, and coaching, to assist in my counselling practice.

I have always been interested in human nature and curious about how the mind works, asking questions such as: What motivates us? What stops us from achieving what we really want to achieve? How do we go about doing things differently to get better results?

Now it has led to a career in which I feel privileged in helping people overcome adversity to improve their happiness and wellbeing.

I am an author of Mindfulness for Peace of Mind and co-author of Inside Creativity Coaching (Routledge), Unleashing the Artist Within (Dover Press Inc.) and Naked Money: 29 Artists and Creatives Share the Truth About Art and Money by Eli Trier.
