About me

Welcome - A Space Where You Are Fully Seen and Heard

Hi, I’m Angela, founder of Speak Your Truth Counselling Services and I am a fully qualified Integrative counsellor who is deeply committed to person-centred therapy where your experience, voice, and values guide every step of the process.

I am an Individual member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and an Accredited Registrant with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) which is a body that ensures that I adhere to their Ethical Framework to ensure that I work safely to protect you as well as myself. I provide counselling for 18+ adults principally, via online platforms such as Zoom, Teams or Google Meet, or if you prefer face-to-face where this can be arranged in Hillingdon, Middlesex.

My practice is rooted in Carl Rogers’ philosophy, and is built on genuine empathy, unconditional positive regard, active listening skills and a deep respect for your autonomy. I believe that every person holds an inner capacity for growth and healing, and I work to create a safe relational space where that potential can unfold and focusing on relational depth is key to my approach and the success of the clients that I work with.

I have solid experience working with all sorts of mental health issues such as general low mood, depression, anxiety, race, ethnicity and socio-cultural issues, addictive behaviours, trauma, phobias, abuse in all its iterations, relationships and family pressures as well as dealing with bereavement and loss of all kinds as well as an anti-oppressive approach with all my clients.

Our work together isn’t about imposing solutions, it’s about co-creating meaning, exploring and speaking your truth, and supporting you as you reconnect with your sense of self and direction. Whether you're facing emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, or seeking personal insight, I offer a warm, non-judgmental environment where you can feel deeply understood and empowered.

My approach also integrates evidence-based methods such as psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural therapy, short-term-focused therapy and attachment-informed frameworks, always in service of your unique needs and goals. But at its heart, this is about you - your pace, your process, your healing, your growth.

Let’s begin when you’re ready. I offer short or long-term sessions, and we will decide what is appropriate for your needs. This is your confidential space, and you are welcome just as you are. So, if you feel that I may be able to help you, get in contact with me via phone, email, my website or social media. I offer a 20-minute welcoming online session, just to gauge how we’d like to work together and take it from there!
