About me
I’m Aneta, a humanistic integrative counsellor working with adults, children, and young people aged 8+. I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace, and begin to understand what feels difficult or overwhelming.
You may be coming to therapy feeling anxious, stuck, disconnected, or unsure where to begin. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you feel heard and understood, and supporting you to make sense of what you’re experiencing and find ways forward that feel right for you.
I see therapy as a collaborative process. You remain in control of what you bring to sessions and the pace at which we work. At the heart of my practice is a person-centred approach, which means I see you as the expert in your own life. I am here to support you with warmth, empathy, and curiosity as you explore what is happening for you.
When it feels helpful and you’re ready, I may also gently challenge you to help you notice patterns and move forward.
I’ve seen that when people feel safe, supported, and understood, they are able to think more clearly, feel less overwhelmed, and begin to find their own way forward.
I work with clients in Bournemouth and online, offering flexible support to suit different needs.
My approach
As a humanistic integrative counsellor, I tailor therapy to each individual. My core training is grounded in person-centred therapy, with integrative elements including Gestalt Therapy and Transactional Analysis (TA). I also draw on CBT-informed and DBT-informed skills, alongside compassion-focused CBT principles, to support emotional understanding and coping. I place particular emphasis on emotional awareness, self-compassion, and supporting you to develop a kinder and more understanding relationship with yourself.
Alongside my professional training, my own experience of navigating significant life changes informs the way I work. This allows me to meet clients with empathy, and to support them in finding practical ways forward during challenging times.
As a BACP registered member (MBACP), I attend regular supervision and undertake continuous professional development.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Parent Consultations
Sometimes parents feel unsure how best to support their child or young person. You may have noticed changes in their mood or behaviour, increasing anxiety, difficulties with friendships or school, or simply feel that something isn't quite right.
A parent consultation offers a calm, supportive space to explore your concerns, think together about what may be happening, and consider how best to support your child. These sessions can also help you decide whether counselling may be helpful or whether there may be other ways forward.
Depending on your circumstances and what feels most helpful, consultations may involve parents on their own or a joint parent and child session. Together, we can consider which approach is likely to be most helpful.
Parent consultations are suitable whether or not your child is attending therapy and provide an opportunity to reflect, ask questions, and feel supported as a parent.

Further information
Prowadzę terapię w języku polskim i angielskim.
Równolegle do praktyki prywatnej pracuję z dziećmi i młodzieżą w szkołach. W pracy z młodszymi osobami dostosowuję metody do wieku i etapu rozwojowego, czasem korzystając z elementów pracy kreatywnej.
Jeśli chcesz umówić się na konsultację lub masz pytania dotyczące terapii, zapraszam do kontaktu.
