About me
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist offering warm, empathic, and non-judgemental therapy in Bethnal Green, East London, and Central London. I work with adults in person and online across the UK, providing a confidential space to explore emotional and relational difficulties.
People come to therapy for many reasons, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, attachment concerns, and feeling stuck in repeating patterns. Some arrive with a clear focus, while others have a more general sense that something is not quite right.
My approach explores how past experiences and unconscious patterns can shape present-day thoughts, feelings, and relationships. Through developing greater self-awareness, therapy can help bring lasting emotional change.
I also offer psychosexual psychotherapy, supporting individuals with concerns relating to intimacy, desire, sexual confidence, performance anxiety, shame, sexual identity, and compulsive sexual behaviours. I provide a respectful and confidential space where these difficulties can be explored safely.
Drawing on experience in both the NHS and private practice, I tailor therapy to your individual needs. Rather than offering advice or quick fixes, I provide a consistent therapeutic relationship in which deeper understanding can develop over time.
If you are looking for a psychotherapist in Bethnal Green or Central London, I welcome you to get in touch to arrange an initial consultation. This first meeting gives us the opportunity to discuss what brings you to therapy and whether working together feels right.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have worked in both NHS and private practice settings, supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds with many different emotional and psychological difficulties. This includes anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, impulsive behaviours, low self-esteem, and relationship challenges.
Throughout my clinical work, I have met people at very different stages of life, some coming to therapy in crisis, others feeling quietly stuck or dissatisfied, and many trying to make sense of long-standing patterns. These experiences have strengthened my belief in the importance of being met as a whole person, rather than as a diagnosis.
As a psychodynamic and psychosexual psychotherapist, I am interested not only in symptoms but also in the deeper emotional and relational patterns that shape them. Whatever brings you to therapy, I tailor my approach to your specific needs and pace.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.
BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
In addition to my private practice, I have worked as a psychotherapist in various clinical and specialised forensic settings. These include the Tavistock & Portman NHS Foundation Trust, NELFT NHS, and the Portman Clinic, where I provided psychoanalytically informed psychodynamic psychotherapy to individuals facing complex psychological disturbances and emotional difficulties.
I have over 35 years of experience working with individuals affected by addiction and have also offered coaching and psychological support to professionals in the TV and film industry. In addition, I have worked extensively with adults on the autism spectrum through SETH (Supporting and Enabling Those with Hidden disabilities), helping individuals navigate the emotional and relational aspects of living with ASD.
