About me
I work with people experiencing difficulties such as complex trauma/PTSD, anger, anxiety, low self-esteem, inner self critics, stress/burnout & depression, including Veterans. These symptoms can be associated with traumatic events in childhood/adulthood: sexual abuse, personal injury, loss & bereavement, abuse, bullying & domestic violence, active service. I aim to help people recover from the effects of these stressful events on personal functioning & relationships. I also help adjustment to life challenges including health conditions & life transitions; adolescence, parenting, relationship beginning/ending & divorce, & retirement.
As a Clinical Psychologist, I use a range of evidence-based therapy models & techniques to tailor therapy to meet an individual’s needs. These interventions have been proven to have significant beneficial effects on a person’s well-being. My clinical practice is influenced by Compassionate Mind/Focused Therapy (CFT), EMDR, ACT, CBT & Schema Therapy.
You don't have to go through difficult times alone! I can provide a confidential, safe, calm and understanding space for you to explore your difficulties and learn new ways of being. Please reach out and get in touch. I am happy to provide an initial telephone consultation. I am also happy to provide online sessions via Skype, Facetime, ZOOM or phone.

Further information
Through my work I aim to help individuals, adults and emerging adults (young people from the age of 16) achieve well-being, using an integrated approach, blending the therapies I have trained in to meet the individual needs of each of my clients. I adapt my therapeutic approach to each client’s needs to provide each client with a personalised therapeutic journey.
Having difficult or strong emotions is part of the human experience, however, it is when this impacts on our ability to engage with life in a meaningful way that we may need help in finding a way forward, whether that be through adjustment, acceptance, compassion, making changes, or all of these.
I have worked in several mental health settings including neuropsychology and rehabilitation, mental and physical health services, learning disabilities and older people’s services. I have worked with emergency services, veterans, and people on the Autism Spectrum. I am not offering neurodiversity assessments at present.
