“Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.” Brené Brown.
I am an experienced and professionally qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I work online for the time being and am based in East London.
I work in an integrative way which means I combine elements of different therapies depending on what we decide will be most helpful. I work in a Person Centred way, also offering Somatic and Mindfulness Based Approaches such as Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and EMDR. These ways of working allow for a lot of creativity and movement in session.
My specialism is in working with trauma including clients who were raised by alcoholic/addicted parents seeking to recover from the dysfunction that may still be presenting in their lives as adults. This may take many forms such as anxiety, relationship issues and addictions.
I offer a safe, confidential and supportive environment where you can explore and make sense of any challenges that you are facing. It is my belief that many of the behaviours and beliefs that urge us to seek help were once coping mechanisms that have outlived their usefulness.
Through dialogue, challenging, humour and willingness, therapy can allow for both client and therapist to explore more meaningful ways to live and meet life's challenges.
I also facilitate group training/workshops for organisations on topics such as Mental Health Awareness, Trauma Informed Care, Working with Bereavement, and Resilience at Work. Group work is available for staff following a critical incident.
I work in a LGBTQ+ friendly and sex positive way and welcome clients looking to address issues around sexuality and gender identity and those in A-typical relationship structures.
Those looking for support to integrate after psychedelic and plant medicine experiences are also most welcome. I am a member of the Institute of Psychedelic Therapy (IPT).
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of East London. I have also completed extensive training in working with trauma and developmental injury. This includes Level 1 &2 in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Level 3 in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
My experience is varied across several fields. I previously worked as a trainer, helping professionals from different backgrounds to support clients who identify as LGBTQ+. For a number of years I also worked therapeutically with groups such as young carers, students, people without stable housing, and people experiencing spiritual emergency.
In addition to my professional training I have undertaken Continued Professional Development in areas that I am interested in.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
