Amy Dann NCS Accredited Member
Individual and couples therapy for adults and young people in Felixstowe and online or by phone (currently working only online/by phone due to Coronavirus). I am accredited by the National Counselling Society, and work in accordance with their Code of Ethics.
I am a person-centred counsellor, which means that my job is primarily to listen, actively, to try to understand your experience from your perspective, and what it means to you. I will be using my own thoughts and feelings to help me do this, so I can empathise and understand what your experience feels like to you, gain a sense of what is important to you and become an active participant in finding a way forward that works for you.
I am trauma-informed, and will take your experience seriously. I have worked with people experiencing a wide range of challenges, from stress, depression and anxiety, to abuse (including domestic and childhood abuse), bereavement, self-harm and feeling suicidal. I am also open to clients who want to focus on self-development – to look at what is working in order to have more of it, as well as what might be holding you back.
If you would like more information about me or about person-centred therapy, you are more than welcome to get in touch with me by phone or via the 'email me' button above, or you can email me direct at email@example.com, or contact me by phone on 07816 273 907. I am available to respond Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm.
