About me
Individual and couples therapy for adults and young people in Felixstowe and online or by phone. I am accredited by the National Counselling Society, and work in accordance with their Code of Ethics.
I am an experienced counsellor and supervisor (please see my Supervisor profile if you are seeking supervision), working with a Person Centred approach, which means primarily I am here to listen, actively, to try to understand your experience and its meaning to you. I will accompany you with empathy, acceptance and a genuine interest in you and the matters you wish to bring to therapy: you are free to explore, at your own pace, what is important for you. We all have an inbuilt drive to develop in ways that serve and enhance us, and my aim is to facilitate your unique process of healing and expansion.
I am trauma-informed, and work with people experiencing a wide range of challenges, from depression and anxiety (including social anxiety and generalised anxiety disorder), panic attacks, low self-esteem and low self-confidence, phobias and family issues, to abuse (including domestic and childhood abuse), bereavement, addiction, self-harm and feeling suicidal. I am also open to clients who want to focus specifically on self-development – to look at how to generate more of what is already working as well as the areas in which you desire change.
If you would like more information about me or about person-centred therapy, you are more than welcome to get in touch with me by phone or via the 'email me' button above, or you can email me direct at amydann.therapy@gmail.com, or contact me by phone on 07816 273 907. I am available to respond Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm. Please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Additional information
I offer a self-selected fee, within the range from £45 to £75 per hour-long session. Equality is central to person-centred therapy, and it is my aim to promote it right from the start by giving you the opportunity to choose a fee that reflects your ability to pay and the value you place on the therapeutic experience, selected from within a range that I have set, which reflects my awareness of my financial responsibilities.
