About me

I am an NCS accredited therapist offering individual and couples therapy to adults and young people.  I am based in Felixstowe, in a homely therapy room with a view of the sea.  I also offer sessions online via Skype/Zoom, or by phone.

My approach is person centred, which means that I trust your experience and your process, and will hold space for you to work through things at your own pace.  I will try to connect with you where you are on your journey, with acceptance, empathy and congruence.

I have a wide range of experience, both professional and personal, and can offer you a therapeutic relationship that facilitates your personal healing and growth.

We never know what life is going to throw at us, and sometimes we find ourselves "stuck", with a feeling, or a mindset, or in a psychological "place" we don't want to be.  This can bring anxiety, depression, loneliness, or involve complex grief, chronic stress, or any of the other, myriad expressions of psychological distress.  It is natural to want to want to reach out and talk to someone at these times, and in response, therapy offers a relationship that can help to re-establish positive, forward momentum.  It can also be useful in the good times, if you are seeking personal and spiritual growth.

If you would like more information about me, about therapy or the way I work, you can get in touch with me by phone or via the 'email me' button above, or you can email me direct at amydann.therapy@gmail.com.
