About me
I am a Clinical Psychologist specialising in work with children, their parent, young adults and couples. I have particular clinical interest in neurodiversity, health conditions (e.g. Tourette’s and diabetes) and relationships. I am also interested in working with young adults to support their mental wellbeing, relationships and career/ life goals. In particular, in managing challenges related to neurodiversity and anxiety, or unpicking early childhood experiences.
I offer sessions via video and in clinic in Warrington.
I offer therapy to children, young people, families, parents and couples. I am particularly experienced in adapting therapy for people with neurodiversity. My main therapeutic model is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), but I always work integratively based on the needs of the people I am working with. All therapeutic work begins with a thorough assessment in order to ascertain the best approach. I work collaboratively with families, schools, and other services to provide joint-up care. I also offer tics and Tourette's assessments and behavioural therapy. I provide routine and ad hoc clinical supervision for qualified Clinical and Health Psychologists on request.
Training, qualifications & experience
Currently, alongside my private practice, I run an NHS service for children with chronic health conditions including diabetes, Tourette's, epilepsy, cystic fibrosis and severe allergies.
Prior to this, I have experience working in core CAMHS, adolescent inpatient and early years CAMHS. I have also worked in criminal justice, supporting the embedding of mental health nurses into custody suites, and training policing staff in mental health and communication.
During my time working in research at The University of Manchester, I worked on a number of projects including exploring the cognitive and social outcomes of children who are adopted or who have genetic disorders, the use of family therapy for adolescents who self-harm, and parent-infant interaction and its impact on future neurodivergence. During this time, I also co-authored a number of published academic articles and presented at conferences.

Further information
I offer a free initial video or telephone consultation to all potential clients or parents. This gives us an opportunity to discuss your needs in more detail, to ask any questions about me, and to see if we are a good fit. There is no obligation to continue with sessions following this initial chat.
My clinic is based in a quiet area of Warrington, UK. I aim to offer a relaxed, informal environment where people feel accepted, understood, and empowered to make changes. I know how hard it can be to engage with therapy, so I have a patient and flexible approach to sessions. I adapt my style to meet the needs of each person, and take into account any neurodivergence or sensory needs during a session. I encourage non-problem talk, humour, and the celebrating of successes. This approach means I have an excellent success rate of even the most reluctant young people opting to return for sessions.
When working with couples, I offer a flexible space to explore the past, present and future. I support couples (particularly where neurodiversity is present) to improve their self-awareness, understanding of each other, communication, ability to repair ruptures and find joy and connection in their relationship.
My first step is always assessment and formulation, with an aim of having a better understanding of the issues at hand (beyond diagnosis) and providing recommendations for moving forward. I aim to create a relaxed and safe environment for adults and children to explore themselves and their situations, where everyone feels heard, understood and accepted.
