About me

Life doesn’t come with a manual, and when we experience trauma—whether recent or from long ago—it can shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world. As a trauma-informed counsellor, I offer a calm and supportive space where you can process what’s happened, learn to manage the impact, and gently move toward healing.

You don’t have to relive everything to feel better. You set the pace, and I walk alongside you.

Together, we’ll create a welcoming environment where you can open up at your own pace. My role is to listen without judgment, help you understand the roots of your present struggles, and work with you to develop strategies to manage them. Whether your challenges are rooted in past experiences or current circumstances, I’ll support you on your journey to healing and self-discovery.

I bring over a decade of experience working in social care, supporting children, young people, and families facing complex challenges. My background includes working with asylum seekers, care leavers, those experiencing homelessness, and individuals dealing with emotional and behavioural difficulties. As a counsellor, I’ve supported a wide range of clients, including young parents, women recovering from exploitation, and individuals navigating addiction, domestic violence, and childhood trauma.

I work collaboratively and at your pace, believing that healing happens best when you feel safe, seen, and empowered. I continually enhance my skills through ongoing training and professional development to ensure I provide the best possible care.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
