Hello, I believe that there doesn’t have to be something ‘wrong’ for you to want psychotherapy – sometimes we do have specific problems in our lives that we need help with, but sometimes it can just be a general feeling that we want our lives to be different. Whatever the reason, it helps to have another person who is not part of our daily lives to talk to about things that are bothering us and to support us while we work out how we want to change.
Training, qualifications & experience
As well as having a post-grad degree in psychology, I am a UKCP-accredited Integrative Psychotherapist with over 10 years’ experience working in private practice and at an NHS-linked counselling centre.
I trained as a body psychotherapist, and although I do not work strictly as a body psychotherapist, my work is based in an understanding that our bodies and minds are not separate but intricately linked. The physical feelings in our bodies affect our emotional feelings, and in turn our emotions and experiences affect how we experience our bodies.
Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
UK Council for Psychotherapy
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Body Psychotherapy, Somatic Trauma Therapy
I like to meet people for an initial, free, assessment session, so that we can explore what brings you to therapy, and whether we feel we could work well together.
I charge £65.00 for an hour-long therapy session.
In normal time I usually work face-to-face with people, but I am also able to work online using Zoom or FaceTime, or by phone.
