About me
Life can be difficult, confusing and sometimes deeply painful. It may be a crisis or particular challenge that has prompted you to seek help; a desire to understand yourself better; or perhaps a feeling life has lost meaning. Whatever your struggle, therapy can be a first (or further) step towards recovery - and transformation.
I am an experienced UKCP accredited psychotherapist working with individuals who are looking for help and support to heal, make changes in their life and connect with something deeper within.
How I work
I believe that we are not just mind and body but soul/spirit too. And experience has shown me that our most significant life challenges can lead us towards profound personal/spiritual growth and healing.
I offer a confidential, respectful and heart-centred space where you can feel truly seen, heard, understood and valued as you begin to explore what's going on for you. I am sensitive, deeply empathic and will always work at your pace, tailoring sessions to suit your needs.
Along with offering you a safe space to talk and express your feelings, where appropriate I work creatively using visualisation, drawing, sand play and dream exploration. I also draw on other ways of working such as with the body, breath or sound.
Issues
I work with a wide variety of issues and offer an opportunity for short or longer-term therapy. Particular interests include helping people to overcome traumatic experiences, to build a strong sense of self and to connect with their inner wisdom.
Working together
Therapy is a journey of self-discovery - an exploration of your inner world. It can be tough going but also hugely rewarding. Our work together can offer you the opportunity to process difficult and painful feelings, reflect, gain insight, find - or reconnect with - your self, your qualities, all that makes you unique. It can also help you to build resilience by connecting with your inner resources, enabling you to move forward with greater confidence. Perhaps C S Lewis sums it up best when he says: "You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending."
Getting in touch
If you feel I can help, I'd love to hear from you. Please get in touch by email. It's helpful if you can provide a brief (sentence or two) about your situation. And, of course, feel free to raise any initial questions or concerns. If you decide to take the next step, we can arrange to meet for an initial consultation. This provides an opportunity for us to explore your situation in more depth and to find out if we both feel we would work well together.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
