About me

Hello and welcome,

Life can sometimes be so unpredictable and this is when you find yourself needing more than just a family or a friendly listening ear. I am a qualified registered counsellor with experience of working with adults, children and adolescents. I am committed to helping my clients develop a better understanding of themselves and discover new and helpful techniques to help them overcome the issue that are stopping them from enjoying life and reaching and achieving their goals.

I have an holistic approach to my counselling and I am also trained in the creative arts which allows me to use mediums such as clay and paints to help a client express themselves when words fail. I offer an environment which is safe and non-judgemental where the client can be themselves and examine and work through their issues.

I have worked with many different types of issues including anxiety, depression and family issues.I have worked with people from many different backgrounds, whilst working with these individuals my one goal has been to see the client heal and become a whole person and to help them feel confident to face the world and its challenges.

As a counsellor I have seen many clients with all kinds of presenting issues. All of my work is supervised by an accredited supervisor who is a member of BACP and follows their code of ethics of which I am also a member.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
