About me

I recognise that taking the first step toward counselling can feel overwhelming. It takes courage to seek support, and I am here to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can share your experiences without fear of judgment. Whether you are facing personal struggles, relationship difficulties, or emotional challenges, I offer a calm and confidential environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings with respect and understanding.

Counselling is a personal experience, and I believe in giving you the space to lead the way. I won’t tell you what to do or rush your process—instead, I will listen, reflect, and help you uncover insights that empower you to make meaningful changes. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, stress, loss, self-esteem issues, or past experiences, I am here to support you as you work toward greater clarity and emotional well-being.

With a range of experience in counselling, I work with individuals and couples on various presenting issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, domestic abuse, relationship struggles, and low self-esteem. My approach is to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where we can explore and work through the challenges you're facing. In addition to my practice, I collaborate with agencies and charities, allowing me to remain connected with diverse perspectives and continually learn from different areas of support.

I work with adults, couples, and young people, adapting my approach to suit your individual needs. Life’s challenges affect us all in different ways, and emotions can sometimes feel intense or confusing. My role is to help you navigate these feelings, offering a gentle and supportive approach that encourages self-exploration and positive change.

For couples, relationships can sometimes become strained due to miscommunication, loss of trust, or emotional distance. I provide a space where both partners can openly express their thoughts and feelings, fostering deeper understanding, trust, and connection. By improving communication and developing self-awareness, couples can strengthen their emotional bond and move forward with greater harmony.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
