Alyson Wood - BSc (Hons), BACP
Anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship issues, whatever your reason for looking here, I guess you're looking for something to change! Counselling offers you an opportunity to open up, explore and reassess current or historic issues, which may be holding you back. This can lead to a greater and lasting sense of empowerment and self-understanding, enabling you to live in a more satisfying and resourceful way with a greater sense of well being.
I won't push you to talk about things you don't want to talk about. There's no judgement, diagnosis or advice. Just a safe, confidential environment where there's time and space to work through whatever is bothering you, to come to your own conclusions and find your way forward to a more resilient, fulfilling way of living.
If you're looking for a calm place to clear your thoughts, a confidential relationship where you can talk about what's bothering you, a creative space to work on what is holding you back and a caring presence to help you find the way forward, get in touch.
I understand every counsellor may not be right, so I suggest a free initial consultation lasting around 30 minutes to see if this is something we both feel comfortable in working together and to answer any questions you may have.
I am fully insured with an enhanced DBS certificate, a member of the professional body BACP and I am registered with the ICO. What does this mean? It means I work within ethical boundaries to ensure the safety of all my clients. Confidentiality and guidelines are important to follow to make sure I am providing the highest service within the profession.
Counselling is one to one and is provided in a beautiful room in Wakefield easily accessible by car, bus and train, with free parking onsite.
