About me

Hello I'm Aly and thank you for visiting my page.

Do you need to be really listened to, valued and heard?  To be in a safe environment where you can talk through what is going on for you without judgement?  Life can be really difficult, challenging and overwhelming at times. Finding the space to explore why we are feeling the way we do can be hard, especially in today's busy world.  I can offer you that safe, calm and empathetic space in which you can find what you need.

I have had therapy myself and it can be daunting finding the right therapist, exploring emotions and working through growth and change.  For me personally, it helped me in so many ways and I want to be able to help others in their counselling journey.

I really believe that connection and the therapeutic relationship is key.  I am honest and transparent with my clients and aim to work together alongside them.  I go at the client's pace and provide them with what they need, tailoring therapy to their individual needs.  I will be with my clients each step of the way.

You may feel you are ready to live a more fulfilling life? I can help you navigate those difficulties and help you on that journey towards living a brighter life when you feel ready to do so.  I focus on helping you reach your full potential through self-discovery and personal growth in your life.

I am passionate about seeing clients in a better place to where they may be now and for them to not suffer or be in pain any longer.  I work with depression, anxiety, loss, self-esteem and confidence issues, autism and much more...please further areas in the detailed list below.

Some examples of the benefits you may experience by working with me include:

  • Increased emotional wellness and resilience
  • Greater self-esteem/self awareness
  • Improved ways of relating and communicating with others
  • Living a less stressful life
  • Free of worry and anxiety
  • Tools to support you to live the life you want
  • Understanding loss and what it means for you

I run a friendly professional practise face to face in Maidstone or sessions can be online via Teams.  I offer open ended counselling, the length of counselling and number of sessions will differ from person to person depending on their own personal needs, goals and expectations.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
