Alma Henderson. L5 Adv.Dip, Reg MBACP
Sometimes life’s tough, even overwhelming. It can feel like a lonely place. If you’re experiencing difficult or complex issues, or simply want to understand yourself better, perhaps all you need is for someone to listen. I offer a safe, nurturing space to help you better understand your thoughts and emotions.
Counselling can help you examine and express your thoughts and feelings by providing a confidential and non-judgemental space in which you can explore and reflect upon the issues which have brought you to seek support.
I understand that it may be daunting embarking on counselling, and it takes courage to contact a counsellor. It’s important that you feel comfortable with the counsellor you choose and so with this in mind, I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation to allow you to discuss your concerns and ask any questions. If after that you decide you would like to begin counselling with me, we can agree on a time and day.
**In light of the current climate, I am now able to offer telephone or online counselling **

I may use a variety of therapeutic techniques to help understand your concerns, but you are the expert in knowing what’s best for you. You may just need a bit of support and guidance to help you find your solutions.
I have experience working in diverse settings with people of all ages, different cultures and struggling with a range of issues including: grief/bereavement, miscarriage, trauma, anxiety, depression, sexual/emotional abuse, self-esteem, bullying, body image, avoidant personality disorders, relationship issues and sight loss.
