I am a Gestalt trained psychotherapeutic counsellor, executive and mental health coach, Supervisor and facilitator. I work in a holistic and integrated way, drawing on all strands of my training which ranges from Gestalt to embodied practice workshops, person-centred to transactional analysis, CBT to human givens - as well as my coach training. I work with anxiety, relationship issues, depression, trauma, stress, burn out, recovery to self, mental health issues and big life changes.
I work in Brighton & Hove and in Crystal Palace, near Streatham, Norwood and Croydon. I'm also available for Skype and phone sessions should meeting in person not be possible. I would initially invite you to a 30-minute call so that we may connect and talk through what you want work on. After which, if we are happy to move forward, we can agree a time and place for our weekly sessions.
I work in a safe and confidential space, by supporting you and offering gentle challenge - but always allowing you to be fully who you are, with whatever you bring. My gift is being able to be with a full range of emotions and to stay with you through them, holding the space for something different or new to emerge.
We are always in motion and my belief is that, while we can feel crippled and defeated by our own reactions, there is always more to us than just these responses. To acknowledge them and honour them as truth and then explore what else is here is a way through the stuckness and into movement and change.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have considerable experience working with a wide range of issues, from complex trauma to generalised anxiety, self-esteem and confidence issues, depression, relationship difficulties and life changes. I spent 5 years working as a counsellor with One in Four, a charity that supports survivors of childhood sexual abuse and violence and have also worked for Cassel - a charity offering low cost counselling.
I also work as a supervisor, transformational coach, therapeutic coach, embodiment coach and group facilitator and I use all of these skills to support my work.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
