BACP (Accred), PNCPS (Acc), Clinical Supervisor, Tutor

About me

Whether you're experiencing anxiety, feeling overwhelmed, struggling with relationships, coping with loss, or simply feeling that life isn't where you want it to be, you don't have to face it alone.

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting. You may have been thinking about it for some time, wondering whether counselling is right for you or if talking to someone could really make a difference. My aim is to provide a warm, supportive and confidential space where you feel heard, accepted and able to explore whatever has brought you here, without judgement or pressure.

I am an accredited BACP and PNCPS counsellor, clinical supervisor and counselling tutor with extensive experience supporting adults from a wide range of backgrounds. Alongside my client work, I supervise qualified and trainee counsellors and teach counselling qualifications, ensuring my practice remains current, reflective and grounded in professional standards.

I offer face-to-face counselling in Basildon, Essex, together with online and telephone counselling throughout the UK, allowing you to choose the way of working that feels most comfortable for you.

As an integrative counsellor with a strong person-centred foundation, I tailor therapy to the individual rather than expecting you to fit a particular model. Together we will work at your pace, exploring your thoughts, feelings and experiences while developing greater self-awareness, resilience and confidence.

I regularly support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, bereavement, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, workplace pressures, life transitions and emotional overwhelm. Whether your difficulties are recent or have been present for many years, counselling can provide the opportunity to gain clarity, develop healthier ways of coping and create meaningful, lasting change.

Alongside counselling, I also provide clinical supervision for qualified and trainee counsellors, offering a supportive, collaborative and ethically grounded space for professional reflection, development and safe practice.

I believe that every person's journey is unique. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to work alongside you, helping you better understand yourself, recognise your strengths and move towards the life you want to live.

If you're considering counselling and would like to explore whether we're the right fit, I offer an initial consultation where we can discuss what has brought you to counselling, answer any questions you may have, and decide together how we might work moving forward.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

Alongside my private practice, I am the Founder and Director of Aspire Counselling Academy and Inner Journey Counselling Services, providing counselling, clinical supervision and professional training from Basildon, Essex, as well as online and by telephone across the UK.

Before establishing my own organisations, I founded The Listening Post C.I.C., where I worked as Head of Therapeutic Services and Supervision, leading counselling provision and supporting both clients and practitioners.

My work combines private practice, clinical supervision, tutor training and service development, giving me extensive experience of supporting people at different stages of their personal and professional journeys.

Whether you are seeking counselling, looking for an experienced clinical supervisor, or are a trainee counsellor developing your practice, I provide a warm, ethical and collaborative space where you can feel heard, supported and challenged to grow at your own pace.
