CBT, BWRT, Couple Counselling, Clinical Supervision

About me

Are you feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or caught in patterns that no longer feel helpful?

I offer confidential counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), providing a non-judgemental environment where you can reflect on your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Therapy is not about being “fixed” or given solutions, but about supporting understanding, awareness, and informed choice, based on your own values and experiences.

Many people come to therapy due to anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship difficulties, or periods of uncertainty and change. Counselling provides a structured and supportive space to explore these experiences and make sense of them in a way that feels safe and contained.

I am a qualified CBT Therapist, Counsellor, and Clinical Supervisor. My work is informed by research, clinical training, and ongoing professional development.

CBT, recommended by NICE for anxiety and depression, focuses on the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Where appropriate, I may also integrate REWIND or BWRT (BrainWorking Recursive Therapy) techniques. All methods are discussed transparently and tailored to your individual needs.

Therapy is a collaborative process that supports insight, understanding, and meaningful change. It can help you explore emotional and behavioural patterns, understand how past and present experiences shape your current difficulties, improve coping strategies, and reflect on relationships, boundaries, and communication. It also supports self-understanding, self-compassion, and learning new ways to respond to stress, anxiety, or low mood.

Areas of work may include:

  • Anxiety, worry, and overthinking
  • Stress, burnout, and emotional pressure
  • Low mood and depression
  • Self-esteem and confidence difficulties
  • Relationship and communication challenges
  • Life transitions and decision-making
  • Addictive behaviours, including gambling

Sessions can be short-term or longer-term, depending on your needs.

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
