About me
I am an integrative therapist dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for individuals of all ages. With a foundation in person-centred counselling, I have expanded my practice to incorporate various therapeutic modalities, allowing me to tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each client.
I have extensive experience in working with children aged 5 and older, and in particular with teenagers, having developed a strong understanding of the many complexities and challenges they face during this pivotal stage of life. My goal is to foster resilience and self-discovery, supporting young individuals in navigating their emotions and experiences.
In addition to my work with children and adolescents, I also provide therapy for adults, helping them explore their thoughts and feelings in a compassionate space. I believe in the importance of building a trusting relationship, where clients feel heard and understood.
I have a strong background in supporting clients with neurodiversity, helping them to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their unique perspectives. My approach emphasises the value of self-acceptance and the development of personalised strategies to navigate life’s challenges, whether or not a formal diagnosis is present. I am committed to creating a supportive environment where clients can explore their strengths and learn effective coping mechanisms, empowering them to thrive in a world that often feels overwhelming.
My approach is collaborative and flexible, drawing upon techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and creative arts therapies. This allows me to meet clients where they are and guide them on their journey towards healing and personal growth.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have completed a level 4 diploma in therapeutic counselling. I work in a Humanistic way. I am a registered MBACP.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
