About me
Counselling for anxiety, overwhelm, relationship difficulties and feeling stuck.
You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, low in mood, emotionally stretched, or maybe unsure how to make sense of what is happening or how to move forward.
Many of my clients come when they feel like they are coping on the outside but struggling internally, or when life and relationships feel difficult to manage alone.
I offer a space where we can slow things down and gently explore what is going on for you. Together, we can begin to make sense of your thoughts, emotions, and patterns in a way that feels more manageable.
About me
I am an integrative counsellor working with adults and older teens. Therapy with each client is as individual as the person. My core approach is person centred and I will be drawing on different modalities depending on what feels most helpful for you.
My work is grounded in the belief that people make sense of themselves in relationship, and that having a consistent space to think and feel alongside another person can support greater clarity and understanding over time.
Much of my experience is in working with anxiety, stress, low mood, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, and longer-standing patterns that can shape how people relate to themselves and others.
I also support people navigating self-doubt, low self-esteem, life transitions, grief and loss, and periods of feeling stuck or disconnected.
I have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent clients in a way that is affirming, collaborative, and respectful of different ways of experiencing the world.
How I work
Many people come to therapy feeling that something isn't quite right, even if putting it into words feels difficult.
I believe there is something valuable in having a space where you can be met as you are, rather than who you feel you should be.
For me, therapy is less about fixing and more about understanding: understanding yourself, your experiences, your relationships, and the ways you have learned to cope, adapt, and move through the world.
Sometimes people come with a clear understanding of what they want to work on. Other times, it is more a sense of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure why things feel harder than they used to.
I believe there can be something powerful about having the time and space to explore your experience alongside another person. Being listened to carefully, without judgement or expectation, can sometimes make it easier to hear ourselves more clearly too.
I tend to work in a way that is thoughtful, collaborative, and shaped around you as an individual. Together we might explore emotions, patterns, relationships, or experiences that have become difficult to carry alone, always moving at a pace that feels right for you.
Sometimes the things that matter most are not always the easiest to say out loud straight away, and there is room for that too.
What clients often say
Clients often tell me they value having a space where they can open up and begin to make sense of what they are feeling without judgement or pressure.
Many describe feeling genuinely heard in a way that is different from other relationships, and over time noticing greater confidence, clearer boundaries, and more self-understanding and compassion.
