About me
Hello and Welcome. How can I help you? Feeling Anxious, Overwhelmed, Sad, Lost? I believe in the relationship between therapist and client to be key to healing. I am not a blank slate and wont just nod and make notes. I offer warmth and understanding.
I am an Integrative Humanistic Therapist specialising in Grief and Loss. When we hear those words, we often assume that means losing a loved one, but it means so much more. We all carry losses, from micro losses to life-changing losses, and all deserve our attention.
Grief can also be:
- Divorce or Relationship Breakdown
- Loss of our perceived future
- Job loss
- Ageing
- Children growing up, going to school, leaving home
- Ageing Parents
- Anticipatory Grief
- The Childhood we didn't have and Childhood Trauma
- A Life-Changing Health Diagnosis and Illness
- Loss of a beloved Pet
- Loss of Friends
- Navigating identity shifts
- Our hopes and dreams not being realised
I also work with -
Late ADHD diagnosis and Perimenopause
Menopause
Anxiety
Burnout
It's never too late to talk. A lot of us have spent a lifetime pushing away difficult feelings, and it's painful and takes a lot of courage to open up and talk about them, but I hope to provide you with a safe place to do so. I believe that therapy is about the relationship between client and therapist, and where appropriate, I will offer tools alongside talking therapy that may help you on your journey to a happier, more fulfilling life. We do not 'fix' grief, but we tend to it in a gentle and safe way.
Making the decision to begin therapy can be scary. Do feel free to email any questions you may have. If you are looking for a Brighton-based counsellor or you live further afield and prefer online therapy, I would love to work with you
How do I work?
What does Integrative Humanistic Therapy actually mean? I draw from Person Centred, Existential and Gestalt modalities to tailor your therapy to suit you. We will work in the here and now, looking at what is going on for you in this moment. The client comes first always, and I hope to enable you to create a happier, more meaningful life.
I work In Person, Online and Outdoors (ecotherapy), short-term and long-term. And I offer lower-cost therapy online. I believe that therapy should be accessible to all, and we shouldn’t take a long time to be seen, so I keep online blocks free at a lower cost. I work within the BACP guidelines, and your safety and well being is my priority.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
In our daily conversations, we are often listening to respond. I create a safe space for you to share and be witnessed in a non-judgmental, empathic way. I aim to support you in your goals by firstly listening, but offering tools to empower you to help yourself. In these busy days, it is often seen as a privilege to carve out an hour for ourself, to focus on just us and our needs, and yet, what is one hour a week?
It is often thought that therapy is only for when we are in crisis, but we can seek to improve ourself with the support of another, or we can come to process any of life’s many curveballs, or maybe untangle something that we are struggling with, that perhaps we don’t want to share with friends. We can improve our relationship with ourself and others through exploring in a safe, non-judgmental space.
