About me

Hello, my name is Alex; I am a qualified Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist, working in North London.

Maybe you are struggling to communicate and connect with your partner(s)? Do you question why you keep repeating the same patterns?

I work with individuals, couples and polycules, I specialise in relationships & sexual problems around communication, desire/arousal, orgasm, erectile difficulties, vaginal discomfort/pain, trauma, body image issues, gender or sexuality related issues, menopause, monogamy/non-monogamy,  polyamory, affairs, pornography addiction, kink, bdsm.

My aim is to help you explore your feelings, thoughts and emotions and the affect they have on your behaviour and mood. I see the therapeutic process as a collaborative one, with us working side-by-side to develop a better awareness of yourself and your relationships with others.

It can be daunting to reach out to someone you don't know to share your most private & intimate thoughts. Making the decision to come to therapy is not always an easy one and demonstrates a willingness and desire for change. In return, my commitment is to support and facilitate you on this journey to the best of my ability.

I offer short and long term counselling in a safe & confidential environment.

I offer a free 15 minute initial phone consultation to discuss any concerns or questions.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a Postgrad Diploma in Integrative Psychosexual Therapy.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am also a member of The College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT).

I undertake Continual Professional Development and have full professional insurance.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

COSRT
College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT)

COSRT is the UK’s leading membership organisation for therapists specialising in sexual and relationship issues.

All members must abide by their Code of Ethics and the performance of accredited members is regularly monitored.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
