About me
If you are reading this, you may be considering whether talking therapy can be useful to you. People seek support for a variety of reasons and may have a general feeling of dissatisfaction or being ‘stuck’ in life, alongside a hope for change. You or others in your life may have noticed feelings or behaviour that appear important, such as low mood, anxiety, grief, anger or other emotions that feel significant. You may have difficulties in current or past relationships, or have a desire to better understand yourself and how you came to be.
Seeking therapy can be a difficult decision and often takes a great deal of courage. I believe therapy can benefit many aspects of our lives through discovering new perspectives and possibilities. In our meetings, I hope to create a collaborative relationship where we can engage in genuine, open and honest dialogue so that new meanings about your life and relationships can emerge. This will include a warm, compassionate and curious stance towards the concerns you bring. I offer a therapeutic style that encourages continuous feedback to ensure we are both working towards the same aim, and can adjust my approach to best support you.
I draw on a number of evidence-based approaches and ideas in my work to facilitate a supportive and collaborative relationship towards change. I offer online and in-person therapy and can offer a free initial conversation to explore whether we might work well together.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have over 10 years experience working in the NHS across a variety of specialist settings, including work with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I have also worked in specialist services for people with physical health difficulties, learning disabilities, and family support.
As a clinical psychologist, I have undergone training at doctoral level and I am registered with the health and care professions council (HCPC). I can offer evidence-based psychological therapy for a range of difficulties, whether for a specific concern or a more general wish for greater understanding.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
