About me

Hello and welcome. I’m Alex, a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I offer counselling and psychotherapy both in-person across London and online, creating a safe, inclusive space for exploration, healing, and growth.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns of negative thinking, or simply seeking greater clarity and self-understanding, therapy can be a powerful tool for transformation. My holistic, integrative approach draws from a range of therapeutic modalities to meet your unique needs.

My Approach

I’ve been trained in intercultural therapy, a dynamic form of psychotherapy that considers the whole person. I work with clients across diverse backgrounds, including varying ethnicities, ages, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, and gender identities.

I have experience supporting people who are neurodivergent and those who tend to intellectualise their feelings. For some, thinking analytically or “living in their head” can feel safer than connecting with emotions directly. Together, we’ll explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, finding ways to honour your strengths while gently opening space for emotional awareness and integration.

I pay close attention to childhood experiences, recognising how early relationships and formative environments can shape patterns of thought, emotion, and behaviour in adulthood. Together, we’ll explore these influences with care, not to dwell on the past but to understand how it informs your present. This process can open space for healing, self-compassion, and new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Areas of Focus I have extensive experience supporting individuals with:

Anxiety and depression
Trauma and emotional regulation
Relationship challenges and intimacy
Identity exploration and cultural conflict
Self-worth, confidence, and personal growth
Together, we’ll build a picture of where you are and where you want to be. We’ll spend time processing, reflecting, and moving forward at a pace that feels right for you.

Therapeutic Modalities My practice is integrative, blending:

Psychodynamic Therapy – exploring unconscious patterns and early experiences
Mindfulness – cultivating present-moment awareness and emotional regulation
Existential Elements – examining meaning, choice, and personal responsibility
Person-Centred Therapy – empowering you to uncover your own answers

Benefits of Working Together

Clients often share that they feel more grounded, confident, and compassionate toward themselves. Many experience a reduction in negative thinking, greater emotional awareness, and a clearer sense of direction. Our work together can help you reconnect with your inner strength and navigate life with more clarity and purpose.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
