About me
I provide a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and be met exactly as you are. I have extensive experience working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, bereavement, domestic violence, and a persistent sense of feeling stuck. I also support those adjusting to a new diagnosis, managing family pressures, or navigating the emotional impact of external services such as social workers. My approach is gentle and at your pace, and together we explore what is going on beneath the surface, helping you build understanding, self-trust, and clarity about the next steps that feel right for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified counsellor with a strong grounding in person-centred practice, trauma-informed approaches, and techniques to help clients feel safe and supported. I have worked with people facing a wide range of challenges, including mental health difficulties, loss, relational issues, and complex life circumstances. Alongside my professional training, I bring extensive life experience, which informs my understanding of everyday challenges, relationships, and the human experience.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which means I adhere to professional ethical standards and engage in ongoing professional development to provide safe, ethical, and effective counselling.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
Each counselling session lasts 50 minutes. I offer an initial 15-minute phone call at no cost for new clients, so we can discuss your needs and see if working together feels right. The fee is £50, but I also offer a sliding scale for clients on a low income to help make counselling more accessible. Sessions can be scheduled at times that suit your needs.
Further information
I provide counselling face-to-face, over the phone, and online via secure platforms such as Microsoft Teams, allowing you to choose the format that feels most comfortable for you. I aim to provide a space where you can be heard without judgement and feel supported to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. My approach focuses on helping you gain understanding, self-compassion, and the confidence to make choices that feel right for you. You don’t need to have all the answers or a clear plan to begin counselling. If something here resonates, you are very welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation.
