About me
I am a qualified counsellor offering tailored support to help you build confidence, work through challenges, and improve your wellbeing in a safe and supportive space. My approach is collaborative - no pressure, no judgment, just support.
I work integratively, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches to suit your individual needs. Everyone is different, and therapy should reflect that. Together, we’ll find the right pace, tools, and focus for your journey.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Master of Arts (MA) (Hons) in Sociology. My academic background gave me a strong foundation in understanding people, systems, and society, perspectives I continue to draw on in my therapeutic work.
I went on to complete a COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills, followed by a postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, where I trained in a range of approaches including person-centred, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioural models. My integrative training means I tailor therapy to each client, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
Alongside my core training, I am an Applied Suicide Intervention Skills (ASIST) Trainer. I am fully insured, hold a valid Disclosure Scotland check, and am a registered member of COSCA (Scotland’s professional body for counselling and psychotherapy). I work in line with COSCA’s code of ethics, and I engage in regular clinical supervision and ongoing CPD to ensure my practice remains safe, ethical, and up-to-date.
I have experience working across a number of third sector and health organisations, including in the fields of mental health, sexual health, relationships and addiction. Across these roles, I’ve supported people with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, trauma, and identity-related concerns.
