About me

Hello, I’m Abigail and I am an Integrative Counsellor with a passion for supporting individuals through life's challenges. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Clients often seek therapy when they are feeling anxious, stuck or ready for change; whether you’re looking to make sense of a particular issue, gain perspective, or find the strength to create meaningful change, I would be honoured to walk alongside you on that journey.

My Approach

Your experience and insights will guide our work together; I draw from a range of therapeutic models tailored to meet your unique needs. This might include elements of person-centred therapy, CBT, reflective practice, and hypnotherapy, among others.

Counselling is about supporting you to feel confident in making choices that align with who you are and navigating life’s challenges in your own way. My role is to create a safe and welcoming space where you can reflect, gain insight, and discover the path forward that feels right for you. I believe that each person is different, and our work together will be shaped by what resonates most with you. As such, I make my practice inclusive, compassionate, and respectful of all identities and backgrounds.

My experience also includes working with people processing grief and loss. I understand how complex these experiences can be and offer a safe, supportive environment where you can explore them at your own pace.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
