About me
Therapy for Adults, Young People & Children in Mid Cornwall.
I’m a registered therapist working with adults, young people and children who may be finding life difficult right now.
Perhaps you’re feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, or simply not like yourself. Maybe you can’t quite put it into words, you just know something doesn’t feel right. That’s okay. You don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
Therapy doesn’t have to feel intense or intimidating. Sometimes it’s simply about having a space where you can talk freely, feel heard, and begin to make sense of things. Whatever those things may be.
I work in an integrative way, drawing on different therapeutic approaches depending on what feels most helpful for you. At the heart of my work is a person-centred foundation, meaning I will always meet you with warmth, empathy and respect, and we will go at your pace.
For Young People
Life can feel like a lot sometimes. You might be feeling anxious or stressed. You might feel low and not really know why.
Friendships, relationships, school, college or family life might feel heavy or overwhelming.
Or maybe you just feel “off” and not quite yourself.
You don’t need to have the right words. You don’t need a big reason. Therapy is simply a space where you can show up as you are.We might talk things through. We might use creative tools or drawing. We might sit and think quietly together.
There’s no pressure and no judgement.
Young people come to therapy for many reasons, including:
Anxiety, stress or low mood
Confidence and self-esteem struggles
Identity and self-discovery
Friendship or relationship challenges
School, college or university pressures
Family difficulties
Feeling stuck, disconnected, or “not good enough”
If something doesn’t feel right, that’s enough of a reason to reach out.
For Adults
Life transitions, relationship challenges, painful family dynamics, grief, anxiety, burnout, or simply a sense of feeling stuck can all bring people to therapy.
You may be navigating complex or difficult family relationships — past or present. This might include generational patterns, strained boundaries, unresolved conflict, or feeling misunderstood, unheard or undervalued within your family system. These experiences can leave a lasting emotional impact, even if everything appears “fine” on the outside.
You might be holding a lot together externally while feeling overwhelmed internally.
Therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and gently explore what’s happening beneath the surface, safely and without judgement. Together, we can begin to untangle patterns, build self-understanding, and create space for change.
For Parents & Carers
If you’re here because you’re worried about your child or teenager, you are not alone.
It can be incredibly hard to watch your child struggle, especially if they’ve become withdrawn, anxious, angry, overwhelmed, or reluctant to talk. You may feel unsure how best to support them, or worried about saying the wrong thing.
Sometimes difficulties don’t sit with one person alone. Family dynamics, life changes, generational patterns, or unspoken tensions can all affect how a young person is feeling. This isn’t about blame, families are complex, and we are all doing the best we can with what we’ve learned and experienced.
I offer a safe, confidential and supportive space where young people can explore their thoughts and feelings in a way that feels comfortable for them.
When appropriate, I work collaboratively with parents and carers to ensure everyone feels supported, while also respecting the young person’s need for their own autonomy and therapeutic space.
Where helpful, we can gently explore wider family patterns or dynamics with care and sensitivity, supporting healthier communication and understanding.
Taking the Next Step..
Whether you are a young person looking for support, an adult ready to explore things more deeply, or a parent hoping to help your child, you don’t have to do this alone.
Therapy can be a place to pause, reflect, and begin to feel more like yourself again.
If you’re ready to take the next step, even if you’re unsure what that looks like, I would love to hear from you.
Let’s work together to help you grow, heal, and move forward.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
