About me

I trained as a counsellor after working for 10 years as a manager in large corporate organisations because I wanted to help people who are seeking to bring about positive change(s) in their lives. Change might include improving personal or work relationships; overcoming fears or anxieties; developing confidence or self-esteem; finding more purpose, motivation or fulfilment in life; dealing with past/current difficult and distressing experiences; or more general personal development.

My style of working is warm, straightforward and focused on what you are wanting to achieve. By offering you an accepting relationship, in which you can really be yourself, to talk about what is going on - I aim to help you to gain a clearer understanding of what is happening in your life; to understand and accept your feelings; and to support and encourage you as you experiment and achieve the change you want. Sometimes what you're wanting can be achieved in a matter of weeks and sometimes it takes longer - we will talk openly together about the commitment likely to be needed to achieve your expectations.

I offer sessions of 60 minutes duration, during daytime and evenings on weekdays. We meet in a comfortable, private room in my home, that is located in the village of Cholderton, very close to the A303 and approximately 15mins drive from both Andover and Salisbury.

If you're wanting to get started straight away then do get in touch to arrange an appointment. However, sometimes, finding a counsellor who is right for you can feel like daunting task. That's why I also offer an initial 30 minute face-to-face meeting, that is completely free of charge and assumes no commitment to continue. It's an opportunity for us to get to know each other a little, to discuss any questions you might have and for you to 'dip a toe in the water' to see if I'm the right counsellor for you. I hope you'll take that first step and get in touch.
