About me
My work focusses on how we experience loss and connection-whether through bereavement or relationship difficulties.
I offer short or long-term mental health support in South Birmingham in person and nationwide online.
Grief can feel isolating and disorientating. Whether you've lost a parent, partner, friend, pet, or experienced another significant loss, the world can feel unfamiliar. You may be functioning day to day, yet privately struggling with waves of sadness, guilt, anger or numbness. I offer a steady space to process loss at your own pace.
Grief is usually associated with what happens after a loss. But for many people, grief begins much earlier-while the person, relationship, or future they love is still present. This experience is known as anticipatory grief. You may be feeling confused by your emotions, especially when nothing has 'officially' ended yet. I can offer a space where anticipatory grief can be spoken about openly and without judgement.
I also work with individuals experiencing relationship difficulties- including painful repeating patterns, communication struggles, or the impact of attachment wounds. Together we explore how past experiences may be shaping present dynamics.
My practice
Sessions are collaborative, confidential, and tailored to what feels most helpful for you. I hope to provide a safe, thoughtful space to process grief, loss, and relationship challenges.
Your First Session
Reaching out for counselling can feel overwhelming. I offer a calm space to begin. We can start with a confidential, free 30-minute consultation to help you decide if this feels right. This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other a little better. You can ask me any questions you may have, and I'll ask you about what has brought you to consider counselling. This will help us both determine if we're a good fit to work together. There’s no pressure to commit beyond what feels right for you.
If you decide that you'd like us to work together, we'll schedule our first full session. During this session, we'll explore your needs and what you hope to gain from counselling. We'll also discuss the terms of our work together and I'll gather some essential details to ensure that counselling is safe, ethical and productive.
Availability
I currently have some space to welcome new clients and continue to support existing clients.
Sessions are available Monday-Friday. Evening sessions available online.
I offer short-term or long-term counselling to adults (18+).
In-person counselling sessions take place in therapy rooms in a quiet natural health centre in a peaceful, leafy suburb of South Birmingham. It is easily accessible by train, bus, with free parking nearby. There are toilet facilities on-site.
I also offer confidential counselling sessions online or by telephone across the UK, if this is more convenient for you.
You're welcome to reach out whenever you feel ready.
