About me

Life can feel heavy at times, especially when you're used to carrying on, staying strong and supporting the people around you. You may be the person others rely on, while your own needs have quietly taken a back seat.

Perhaps you're supporting a partner, family member or friend, juggling responsibilities or carrying worries that rarely leave your mind. Over time, constantly supporting others can leave you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and wondering where you fit amongst the many roles and responsibilities you carry.

When life becomes centred around everyone else's needs, it can become difficult to hear your own voice.

I offer a warm, collaborative space where we can slow down, make sense of what's happening and reconnect with what feels important to you. I don't believe people come to therapy because they don't know themselves. More often, I think they already know what matters to them, but life has become so busy, overwhelming or painful that those answers have become difficult to hear.

As an integrative counsellor, I adapt my approach to you because every person brings their own story, strengths and needs. My role isn't to tell you what to do. It's to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted, so that together we can explore what matters most and move towards meaningful, manageable change.

People often tell me that I'm calm, easy to talk to and that I create a safe space where they feel able to be themselves. My aim is to offer that same experience in the therapy room, where you can feel safe enough to be yourself, without worrying about saying the right thing or getting therapy "right".

Areas I can support with

  • Burnout, stress and overwhelm
  • Self-esteem, self-worth and self-compassion
  • Depression, anxiety and overthinking
  • People-pleasing and boundary setting
  • Supporting carers and those in caring roles
  • Life transitions, identity and meaning
  • Family dynamics and relational issues

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Coaching from the University of East London, alongside a Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills (NCFE), and a BA (Hons) in the Creative Industries from City St George's, University of London.

Alongside my private practice, I currently work with Camden Listening & Counselling Centre and have previous experience with Samaritans and Headstrong Counselling.

I also support unpaid carers in a non-clinical role, working alongside people navigating the emotional and practical realities of caring. This has given me a deeper understanding of the wider systems that carers often navigate, as well as the emotional impact caring can have. It continues to shape my therapeutic practice and remains a genuine professional interest of mine.

I also deliver psychoeducational webinars exploring topics such as stress, burnout and emotional wellbeing, helping carers better understand themselves while offering practical tools to support their wellbeing.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
