About me
When a child or teenager is struggling, it can be hard to know how to help, especially when they can't, or won't, put their feelings into words. I offer a calm, accepting therapeutic space where young people can feel safe enough to be themselves and supported enough to begin making sense of what they are experiencing, at their own pace.
My aim is to help children and teenagers feel more confident within themselves, better able to navigate relationships, learning and the wider world, both now and as they grow. Children are far stronger than we often realise; when met with the right support, they can find their way through even the most challenging parts of their journey.
As a psychotherapist and play therapist, I adapt my integrative approach to suit each individual. I have experience working within diverse communities and in special educational needs school settings, supporting children and young people with a wide range of needs, including ADHD, Autism, Down syndrome and Global developmental delay. This experience informs a flexible, thoughtful way of working that recognises each child's unique strengths, challenges and ways of communicating.
I understand that therapy does not look the same for everyone. Some children express themselves best through play and creativity; many teenagers prefer a balance of conversation, reflection and gentle creative work. By integrating psychotherapy with play-based and expressive approaches, I offer a therapeutic relationship that meets each young person where they are, without pressure to fit a particular model or expectation.
My work is grounded in warmth, emotional safety, and genuine connection. I look beyond behaviour to understand the feelings and experiences underneath, helping children and teenagers feel less alone with what they are carrying. Over time, this can support emotional regulation, resilience and a stronger, more secure sense of self.
I also value working collaboratively with parents and carers, offering reassurance and guidance while carefully protecting the child or young person's therapeutic space.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
