I have over 25 years experience working as a professional in mental health, and 15 years experience as a psychotherapist and counsellor. I am a tutor and supervisor at The Minster Centre, a psychotherapy training faculty and have extensive experience of working with adolescents, adults and families. I provide either short-term counselling or longer term psychotherapy depending on need. As a result of the pandemic of Covid-19, I am offering online sessions using the platform of Zoom.
Prior to obtaining a Diploma and MA in Integrative Psychotherapy I worked for 16 years as a social worker, in the field of substance misuse, HIV, homelessness and child protection.
I have experience of working within the private sector, voluntary sector and within the NHS. I worked for many years in a child and adolescent mental health team working with young people suffering from eating disorders, anxiety, depression and self-harming behaviours. I have a private practice in Kew, near Richmond, where I offer counselling, psychotherapy and supervision. There is street parking available, and good transport routes nearby. I also practice from The Minster Centre, in NW6.
How I Work
I offer short-term counselling focussing on a specific problem, such as a major life event, to open-ended psychotherapy, which is a deeper personal exploration. I aim to help people come to know and accept themselves, to find greater meaning within their life and relationships and to develop an improved sense of emotional wellbeing. I provide a safe, non judgemental environment, in which to explore difficult issues and I work closely with the therapeutic relationship.
My work may pay attention to childhood experiences and significant relationships from the past. However it may also be helpful to focus on current concerns and relationships. I am trained as an Integrative Psychotherapist, which means that I apply different theoretical models to the way that I think and work, rather than using solely one model.

UK Council for Psychotherapy
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
