About me
Being a Psychotherapist and Counsellor I see my task as guiding clients on a journey towards greater freedom of choice, autonomy and fuller, more meaningful lives.
Working on the client's issues and present problems, many rooted in childhood will free up suppressed emotions from the past. This process can be painful as well as liberating. At the same time, I focus on the client's strengths, what gives them joy and what feeds their souls.
My ultimate goal is to help you towards the realisation of your potential and expression.
How am I able to help?
Since we are all individuals I found that using a single therapeutic method does not work with everybody. That motivated me to study several therapeutic approaches like the Transpersonal, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and Cognitive Behavioural.
I believe in the body-mind-feeling connection.
I am using creative techniques to bypass the censor of the rational mind and access a deeper level of consciousness.
However, research has shown that the most important criteria for a successful outcome are the Therapeutic Relationship based on confidentiality, empathy, and acceptance.
I do not have a magic wand but my aim is helping the client to find their own answers through accessing their innate wisdom and healing power.

Training, qualifications & experience
I am an accredited, UKCP registered Psychotherapist and Counsellor working in private practice with individuals, couples and groups since 30 years.
I have a diploma in Psychosynthesis and graduated in Hakomi Body-centered therapy.
I also trained at Metanoia in Integrative Group Therapy. My recent trainings include ACT and Attachment.
I taught and lectured at various colleges and at the University of Surrey.
I supervise other counsellors, health professionals and therapists in private practice and in organisations.
Over the years I helped many counsellors towards attaining BACP accreditation.
Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
