About me

People usually come to counseling or therapy because something is troubling them or they want to make a positive change in their lives. A counselling or therapy session is a place where you can explore thoughts and feelings, about yourself, your life and your relationships in a safe, accepting and confidential environment.

I am psychosynthesis psychotherapist, counsellor and supervisor. I have been in practice since 2001 and trained at the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London where I became a member of faculty and worked as a trainer, group facilitator and course tutor. I am a training therapist and have worked alongside people in psychotherapy training for many years.

Psychosynthesis acknowledges that we are all unique and individual souls on a journey through life, that we are more than our problems and our failures, and that at the deepest levels of our selves we are all seeking a way to fulfill our potential and live more of who we truly are. Psychosynthesis embraces all aspects of human experience, from the physical to the spiritual.

My core philosophy and way of working is grounded in transpersonal theory and is informed by several threads; Marion Woodman's BodySoul Rhythms work, Myth, Story and Dream work, Authentic Movement, Open Floor and Somatic Experiencing as well as Mindfulness and Body focused trauma work. I am a Veriditas Trained Labyrinth facilitator and I offer labyrinth retreats, groups and workshops in North London.

I offer therapy, counselling and supervision in North London, near to Muswell Hill. I am close to both Bounds Green tube station and Alexandra Palace overground station. There is unrestricted free parking available in the surrounding roads.

I offer online sessions via Skype and Zoom.

Booking an initial session is a good way to explore whether working with me is a good fit for you. I think that one of the most important parts of the therapeutic journey is working with someone who you feel comfortable with and it is important that you find a practitioner with whom you are comfortable.

Sessions are generally 60 minutes long and my fees are currently £70. I sometimes have low cost spaces in my practice so please do check with me if that is what you need.

Supervision sessions can be longer by arrangement. Please ask if you would know more about longer sessions.

If you have any questions or would like to explore booking an initial session please call or email me.

Training, qualifications & experience

Having completed my psychosynthesis training I went on to further training in bereavement, body work, dream work, Mindfulness and Authentic Movement.

I have completed the Marion Woodman Leadership Training Program with the Marion Woodman Foundation and am a Veriditas trained Labyrinth Facilitator. I offer groups, retreat days and workshops in North London. Information about my group work can be found at www.journeyofthesoul.co.uk.

Accessibility

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
