About me
Hello, I am guessing that you are feeling in need of some help. I work with trauma and attachment, supporting those who feel stuck in patterns shaped by past relationships or overwhelming experiences. My work is grounded in safety, compassion and curiosity, helping you to make sense of what you have been through and to build a more secure and happier future.
I can help you if you are suffering anxiety, depression and low self esteem and confidence which affects your present relationships, interactions with others and your view of the world and your place in it. I offer support and understanding for those suffering loss and family/friend bereavement and pet bereavement. I also offer couples therapy to overcome relationship difficulties from everyday issues to recovering from an affair.
Since graduating from my original counsellor training in 2006, I offer counselling to individuals and couples face to face in my therapy room or online via webcam, email or text and have been awarded Senior Accreditation status by British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I am also EMDR UK Accredited therapist and I introduce EMDR to augment my original training as my clients find this very helpful for all trauma, anxieties, phobias and can really help if you are stuck in negative thought cycles.
I offer long and short term work for Private or Corporate Clients and I worked with Barnardos as an adoption counsellor for 10 years and offer therapy for issues around adoption. I am also registered with BUPA, AXA Health and other health care suppliers.
I offer appointments - face to face - via Zoom/Teams/Whatsapp video platform / telephone / email / text

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
