About me

I am an COSRT Accreditation and experienced Person Centred Psychotherapist, specialized in Psychosexual & Relationship Therapy. The basic principle of my approach is to create an opportunity to build a safe 'Therapeutic Relationship' with a growing willingness, trust and respect to explore issues/emotions which may be a result of past or present experiences. I offer a non-judgmental, confidential and honest 'safe space' to explore and unravel difficulties/challenges which may well be affecting your daily life, relationships, work, general health, intimacy (sexual/non sexual) and sexual experiences. I will facilitate your journey of exploration of your self & your world, whether as an individual or couple of a different or same sex relationship.

I trust through new understandings grows an awareness and clarity of the difficulties/feelings being experienced, through this awareness comes a better understanding of the choices, resulting in making positive changes which meet your personal needs. Irrational thoughts & feelings make sense when we understand where they are coming from, what the triggers are and how to implement a plan to bring about transformation for a healthy, respectful, compromising relationship, with ourselves and others. I will educate why we chose the partners we do, introduce skills and tools to embrace non abusive conflict, to see it as an opportunity to deepen the connection within the relationship and to grow as an individual.

I specialize in working with either individuals or couples who are experiencing relationship problems of various issues of :-
Communication breakdown, Emotional Disconnection, Betrayal, Infidelity, Libido loss, Sexual difficulties, Sexual addiction/Compulsion, Infertility, Separation, Divorce, Menopause, Mental health and Sexual dysfunctions such as:

> Loss of desire/interest
> Erectile dysfunction
> Vaginismus (Involuntary spasm of the circumvaginal muscles)
> Dyspareunia (female) (Pain with sexual intercourse/penetration)
> Premature ejaculation
> Orgasmic Disorder

Also issues of:
> Sexual Trauma
> Sexual Identity Issues
> Ejaculation problems
> Sexual Phobia
> Fetish and Paraphilia
> Drug/Alcohol addiction

Relationship problems have an impact on the sex life and sexual difficulties/mental health, also the menopause symptoms impact the relationship, bringing about a constant circle, which for sure will bring frustration, failure and disappointment with the sense of the relationship feeling 'stuck'.

I use skills from an integrative model to create a unique structure for the individual or couple, with a core foundation of congruence, non judgment and empathy with respect of the human ability to heal its self.

I am an accredited COSRT (College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists) and a BACP (British association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) full member and I abide by each of their code of ethics of best practice with regards to commitment to ongoing training, supervision and professional development.

Being awarded the accreditation with COSRT means I am a specialist in psychosexual and relationship therapy, having met strict criteria in respect of training, experience, knowledge, ethical standards, clinical skills and commitment to continuous professional development; this is audited annually.

COSRT
College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT)

COSRT is the UK’s leading membership organisation for therapists specialising in sexual and relationship issues.

All members must abide by their Code of Ethics and the performance of accredited members is regularly monitored.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
