About me

Hi, I am a qualified, experienced Counsellor offering short term solution focused therapy in Burntisland Fife. I also provide online and phone sessions.

I focus on supporting people to work with the challenges and choices they need and want to, whilst providing the skills and guidance to enable them to do so.

Issues I work with include, anxiety, stress, confidence and self-esteem, well being and happiness. I also work with change, loss and grief and potential.

My approach is short term, solution focused, offering 6 sessions. I provide the space to explore what you need to, alongside structure, skills and strategies that empower solutions.

I am a fully qualified counsellor and professional registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy(MBACP) with over 9 years in private practice.

I am a passionate believer in living our potential in life and embracing the journey of life and all it brings.

In addition to counselling sessions I also offer 6 week structured courses dealing with issues such as stress, anxiety and change. For further information on these courses please see

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling obtained at the Psychosynthesis and Education Trust in London, accredited by the BACP and University of East London. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy BACP.

I have worked as a short term counsellor for Sugarman Health and Well Being, the Dover Counselling Centre, Empathy Counselling Service, and the UK charities Carers Trust and Teens and Todders.

I have over 26 years combined professional experience in counselling, support and empowerment roles. This includes working for the charities Macmillan Cancer Support, and Mencap and local voluntary organisations specialising in cancer and mental health.

I've held strategic and organisational roles for national and local government agencies and private business. This includes The National Audit Office and Lambeth Social Services, building and construction, the arts and entertainment.

I also hold a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Politics and Sociology from Strathclyde University.

​I have a core understanding of organisational psychology, dynamics and issues common to the modern work place such as stress, time constraint, pressure and the need for well being at a personal and organisational level.

The Psychosynthesis and Education Trust is a member of the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP) and founding member of the European Federation of Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy  (EFPP).
