Choosing a therapist is very personal and can feel rather daunting. If you would like to meet for an initial meeting, when we can think together about what is best for you without obligation don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Whether you are experiencing anxiety and panic or panic attacks or feeling low and miserable, a space to talk to can really help.
Perhaps you just don't know what is wrong at present, but something isn't quite right? Perhaps there are patterns appearing which you would like to stop but not sure how.
I have 17 years clinical experience working successfully with:
• anxiety, panic, anger management, some eating disorders, some phobias, low self-esteem, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), stress, depression.
• Relationship and family issues such as abuse, sexual problems, separation and divorce, post-natal depression, termination, miscarriage, bereavement.
I offer a non judgemental, safe and confidential space to explore an area of your personal difficulty, it gives one the opportunity to understand oneself more fully, discover different options and gain greater strength. It involves becoming aware of past patterns looking at the limitations we all experience in ourselves and perhaps taking risks to gain new strengths. For some people it may provide an experience of acceptance, for others a way of coping with life. Talking in this way can also help a person make considerable changes.
You can consider short-term focused work, where we look at a specific problem. Some people decide they want to make deeper changes in their lives and continue in longer term work. The nature of this commitment will depend and is something we would talk about together. The sessions are for 50 minutes a week. Same time /day each week.
I offer a safe and confidential space where we can explore these thoughts and feelings together with an aim of positive change.
If you feel you would like to talk to me to find out if therapy might be for you - send me a message to organise a time to talk. Most of my contacts are through word of mouth, but do please email or phone to see if I have a space at the same time as you…..

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)
The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.
BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
