About me
Hello and welcome to my profile.
I am a senior practitioner with 17 years experience, my core training was for 7 years in London.
Are you struggling with feelings and just don’t know what is wrong at present, but something isn’t quite right. I work with various struggles from Anxiety and panic, feeling overwhelmed, depressed, perhaps feeling angry but not sure why. Maybe you are feeling alone, lonely, and experiencing a negative inner critic. Or perhaps you have some obsessional thinking, with low self esteem, which can and does restrict your everyday life.
Sometimes therapy involves becoming aware of past and recurrent patterns of behaviour ~ together we look to find out why they keep resurfacing and repeating. These past patterns often originate from early life experiences.
How I work:
We meet each week at the same time, a session is for 50 minutes. The regularity of the sessions provides an opportunity to explore recurring problems/patterns and relationships. I rarely offer once a fortnight sessions.
We begin by checking we are both free at the same time each week. We can then talk on the phone to find out what is best for you and whether I feel I can help.
I aim to provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment to talk about your concerns and problems. It’s a space to understand what might be going on for you at this moment in time, with a focus on how you feel and why you feel like you do.
I offer EMDR if it seems appropriate and this way of working is blended with my therapy work. I do not offer EMDR as a standalone therapy.
Enquiries are always welcome, by email. If you leave a message on the phone they don’t always comes through ~ not sure why!
I work both on line (using Zoom or WhatsApp video ) and in person.
I offer open-ended therapy and short term ie minimum of 12 sessions.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.
BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
